The image element in HTML is used to place and configure graphics on your website. These can be anything from photos, banners, company logos, navigation buttons, etc.
The first part of inserting an image is using the src attribute, which specifies the name of the file.
The alt attribute specifies the text replacement, this is important to make your site accessible for people with disabilities.
To insert an image simple do: <img src=”banner2.jpg” alt=”Web Development Banner” width=”700″ height=”86″>
To make the image centered I would recommend creating a class in your CSS and give it a text-align feature of center, and then link that class within your HTML before the img tag.
You can also make an image a link to another page by doing the following: <a target=”banner” href=”index.html” title=”Web Development Site Banner”> <img src=”banner2.jpg” alt=”Web Development Banner” width=”700″ height=”86″> </a>
